As is well known, battery‑processing technologies encompass chemical conversion, capacity grading, internal‑resistance testing, and voltammetry, among others. Conducting these processes invariably requires a probe‑based system. Current rotary probe mechanisms typically comprise a support frame and multiple probe‑mounting plates. Rack-and-pinion gears are mounted on either side of the probe‑mounting plates, with several such plates arranged in parallel; each row can accommodate multiple probes.

  In practical applications, since each probe requires connection to external leads, the probe mounting board exposes multiple crossing wires. When individual maintenance or removal is necessary, straightening the probe mounting board not only makes maintenance and disassembly more difficult but also reduces operational efficiency.

  Furthermore, when removing the probe mounting plate from the bracket, the wires connected to the pins may experience connection issues. Therefore, if it is urgently necessary to rotate the probe mechanism to address these drawbacks, we will explore the manufacturing techniques for rotary probe mechanisms together!

  The purpose of this technology is to provide a rotating probe mechanism that enables the retention, removal, replacement, or installation of chemical conversion probes without detaching the probe mounting plate from the support structure. To achieve this, the aforementioned probe mounting plate is equipped with a frame at each end along its longitudinal direction, as well as a rotatable support shaft mounted on its upper surface. The axis of the aforementioned rotatable support shaft is aligned along the length of the aforementioned rotating probe mounting plate. Rotating probes are widely used, primarily in mobile phones, computers, and telecommunications. Virtually every industry that incorporates chips is adopting semiconductor testing, with chip packaging representing the segment with the highest demand.

  1. Products suitable for double-ended probes and rotary probes

  Rotary probes are ideal for products that require rapid contact at both ends of the probe. The two ends can mate with components such as PCBs, eliminating the need to solder one end. This flexible mating makes them well suited for housing‑type connectors that do not require soldering, such as watch cases and mobile‑phone speaker housings. During assembly, different springs must be installed twice within the tubing, increasing the complexity of the installation process. In mass production, adding an extra spring‑installation step can reduce overall throughput.

  2. Benefits of the rotating detector and dual-head detector:

  1) All components are subjected to vacuum plating, hard gold plating, and thick gold‑nickel plating; these plating processes provide excellent wear resistance, ensuring stable electrical resistance and consistent performance in the assembly workshop.

  2) The needle rod is heat-treated to enhance hardness and toughness;

  3) Meet the requirements of RHOS;

  4) The fatigue resistance of the high-hardness spring with a small tolerance in the rotary probe needle tube;

  5) Imported lathes: tight tolerances and excellent surface finish;

  6) The grinding wheel is precisely assembled, resulting in minimal vibration and smooth sliding.

  7) Etching 3360 enhances coating adhesion: at both ends of the same probe;

  8) Coating thicknesses of different materials in the rotating probe, to ensure optimal wear resistance and durability.
